Can anyone tell me where in El Gouna the Ancient Sand Resort is? I’ve had a look on the site, and can’t seem to find it.

Thank you for your interest in the new development in El Gouna. I’ve also passed your comments regarding finding the information on the site over to our webmaster, so hopefully you will see that changed shortly on the main site.
With regards to the location of the Ancient Sands Resort in El Gouna, the development itself is situated to the north west of the main town, just adjacent to the popular Abu Tig Marina, and the new Super Yacht marina.

I understand why you are asking about the location of the resort in relation to El Gouna itself, but rest assured that the town is not as big as some of the other major Red Sea resorts such as Sharm el Sheikh.
El Gouna is relatively undeveloped in comparison with Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, and from what I saw when we visited there seem to be more controls in place to prevent this happening.
You should also bear in mind that you are looking at a slightly different market, which is why the prices of El Gouna property is that much higher. This is designed to be an upmarket resort, with a focus on the main marina area, where all the ’super’ yachts can be found. The new resort at Ancient Sand is just north of Abu Tig Marina, and as such is very well located.

I’ve just come back from two weeks out in Egypt, and spent a few days in El Gouna. It was the first time I’d been there, having usually spent all my time around Sharm El Sheikh and Dahab. El Gouna definately seems to be a place worth looking at if you are buying over in Egypt. It’s a very well looked after town, and it seems that a lot more care has been put into El Gouna’s planning than some of the other more over developed areas.
